My car is pretty old, so it needs to visit the shop more than I'd prefer, but everyone at Beachside Auto is absolutely terrific. Today was just a dead battery (which a service tech from AAA had told me was the alternator), but they've serviced my car for all sorts of issues. They always get me in quickly. I've compared notes with car-knowledgable friends (and Google) so I know their prices are reasonable. And I'm most grateful for their excellent communication which I've experienced from everyone from the receptionist to the owner. They text and call promptly after diagnosing the issue, often including reports and pictures. They lay things out in layperson language but don't condescend. They also give me a heads-up well in advance about impending maintenance without pushing early or not-yet-necessary service (like warning me that my break pads will probably need replacing at my next oil change or before I embark on any major roadtrips). They have proven themselves very trustworthy, so if my car has to go in, I'm glad to be bringing it to them.
