I will start by saying I have religiously gone to this shop for 3+ years and referred numerous friends, acquaintances, and colleagues. I scheduled my appointment over a week in advance to be sure my oil change and car inspection could be completed same day (8 a.m. drop-off). I called to follow-up on status at 2:30-3:00 p.m. I was shocked to learn the car was pulled into a bay mid-afternoon and to find out it likely wouldn't be ready until the next day (although I emphasized this is my only mode of transportation and is crucial that we stay in communication if any delays are expected). I called the next morning, and over the course of 10 minutes was placed on hold four times. I tried to look past the curt nature of the phone call with Ken, the owner; after further conversation it was clear that he did not understand the status of my car and kept telling me how "complicated it is." While I understand it's not a run-of-the-mill car, I brought it here due to this shop's expertise, which seemed to be up to par in the past, along with their customer service. After 20 minutes of back and forth, being placed on hold, and no real idea as to the direction of resolution, I decided to pick the car up. Upon picking the car up, the battery was dead. After jump starting my car, clouds of smoke poured out of the exhaust and continued to do so even after warmed up. Four of my crucial gauges no longer work, and my dashboard panel was left hanging down. That's at least four issues I now have to take to a separate mechanic. When asking Beachside Auto if they could address these NEW issues, they told me I can call back again to find out what really happened to my car; they would not call me and had no answers at this time. I would not expect such completely unprofessional service for anyone, let alone a repeat customer who sends referrals to this company on a regular basis. I am incredibly disappointed and do not plan to be back.
